Fix Excel map import error message to show why the import failed

When an Excel import failed before any steps could run, the error dialog showed an empty message that users couldn't act on. The dialog now displays the actual exception message explaining why the import failed.

Excel import error dialog now shows meaningful error messages
When an Excel import fails, the error message now clearly explains what went wrong instead of showing a blank dialog.
Added unit tests for Excel import error reporting
