Edit Selection Boxes
What is this?
Edit Selection Boxes lets you customize the selection panel on the left side of the main window. The selection panel contains tabs (like "Basic Selections" and "Price Selections"), and each tab contains filter fields. This dialog lets you choose which tabs appear, which fields are on each tab, and in what order.
How to Access
- Menu: View > Edit Selection Boxes
Window Layout
The dialog has a three-column design:

- Current Selection View dropdown · 2. Copy · 3. Delete
- Selection Tabs · 5. Fields on Tab · 6. Available Fields
- Add / Remove Selection Tabs · 8. Add / Remove Fields on Tab · 9. Cancel / Save
Top Bar
| Element | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Current Selection View dropdown | Switch between different selection box configurations |
| Copy button | Create a new view by copying the current one |
| Delete button | Delete the current custom view |
| Lock icon | Shown for default views (which cannot be edited) |
Three Panels
| Panel | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Selection Tabs (left) | Lists all tabs in the current view |
| Fields on Tab (center) | Lists the fields assigned to the selected tab |
| Available Fields (right) | Lists all fields not assigned to any tab |
Buttons
| Button | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Add Tab (green plus) | Create a new tab with a custom name |
| Remove Tab (red X) | Delete the selected tab (must be empty first) |
| Add Field (left arrow) | Move the selected available field onto the current tab |
| Remove Field (right arrow) | Remove the selected field from the current tab |
| Sequence arrows | Reorder tabs (left panel) or fields within a tab (center panel) |
Working with Selection Views
Default Views
Each vendor type comes with a pre-configured default view. Default views are read-only -- you cannot modify their tabs or fields. A lock icon appears next to the view name when a default view is selected.
Creating a Custom View
- Select any view from the Current Selection View dropdown.
- Click Copy.
- Enter a name for your new view.
- The new view is created as an editable copy of the original.
Editing a Custom View
Select your custom view from the dropdown, then:
- Add a tab: Click the green Add Tab button and enter a name.
- Remove a tab: Remove all fields from the tab first, then click the red Remove Tab button.
- Add a field to a tab: Select the tab on the left, select the field on the right, then click the left-arrow Add Field button.
- Remove a field from a tab: Select the field in the center panel, then click the right-arrow Remove Field button.
- Reorder tabs: Select a tab and use the Sequence up/down arrows under the left panel.
- Reorder fields: Select a field and use the Sequence up/down arrows under the center panel.
Click Save when finished, or Cancel to discard changes.
Deleting a Custom View
Select the custom view and click Delete. If the deleted view was active, the application switches to the first remaining view. Default views cannot be deleted.
Tips
- Each field can only appear on one tab at a time. Moving a field to a tab removes it from the Available Fields list.
- The Available Fields list shows all fields not currently assigned to any tab in the view.
- To quickly find a field, scan the Available Fields list alphabetically.
- Custom selection views are saved per database.
Common Questions
Q: Why can't I edit the tabs or fields? A: You likely have a default view selected (indicated by the lock icon). Copy the view first to create an editable version.
Q: Why can't I delete a tab? A: All fields must be removed from a tab before it can be deleted. Use the Remove Field button to move fields back to Available Fields first.
Q: I deleted a view by mistake. Can I get it back? A: Default views cannot be deleted. If you deleted a custom view, you will need to recreate it by copying a default view and re-customizing it.
